About TRMEGA

We are a non-profit organization empowering vulnerable groups—widows, orphans, youth, and those affected by HIV/AIDS—through training, research, and development initiatives in Arusha Region, Tanzania.

Mission

TRMEGA has a mission to facilitate the development process for the vulnerable and marginalized to attain sustainable development.

Vision

TRMEGA envisions a society in which the vulnerable and marginalized are empowered and have equal opportunities in attaining sustainable livelihoods.

Goals

To share efforts with the local Government and the Community in empowering the vulnerable and marginalized to combat the effects of HIV/AIDS, to balance gender and alleviate poverty.

Current Beneficiaries

23 Families having 52 students are supported on: Food, health insurance, school fees, school needs / items, 8 Houses renovations/construction and support of household items to those who are in very great need

A group of 10 students in primary school, 31 Students in secondary schools and colleges are supported on school fees and school items.

19 Caretakers from the 23 families (Mlonge group) have been trained and gained knowledge and skills on life, parenting and entrepreneurship, they were provided with starter capital to run income generating. These small enterprises have enabled them to sustain themselves on their daily basic needs. Hoping that in future to free from donor dependency.

34 Youths of Voice of Wonders group are graduates of TRMEGA MVC Program have been trained on life and entrepreneurship skills, they were provided with starter capitals and loans to run small income generating activities. Six members of this group who performed very well have been supported with bigger loans to run small enterprises such as a retail shop, water supply project, shoe shine shop, Food shop and music/video studio & stationeries shop.

Donations received fund the following activities:

  • Create awareness on Gender equality and effects on HIV/AIDS.
  • Provision of social support to vulnerable families who are infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.
  • Rescuing vulnerable children from extreme poverty, abuse, violence and other life threatening conditions.
  • Provision of school education – from Primary to Secondary School, Vocational Training, College and University.
  • Empowering students and Youth on early preparation and life skills, job consulting, volunteering and mentoring.
  • Training on establishment of small enterprises, provision of start- up capitals and support of the youth and women.
  • Conducting trainings on nutrition and health improvement. Promotion of the cultivation and consumption of natural food products.
  • Networking and Collaboration with the local Government and Development stakeholders and in addressing development issues.
